Deep-tech?
Here's how you know you have a Deep-Tech idea
If your idea solves a complicated problem by applying advanced technology, typically only accessible to specialists in the area, then the idea is Deep-Tech to some degree. Deep-tech ideas can come from many different problem and solution areas. For exampe artificial intelligence, machine learning, algorithms, robotics, autonomous vessels/vechicles, mekatronics, cryptography, materialsciences, fotonics & electronics, bio technology, signalprocessing, sensorstechnology, mathematics, quantum physics or some other advanced technology.
– Your idea is probably not a deep-tech idea when your idea is about digital services for consumers or businesses, or if your idea is the full or partial automation of a business process or other previously manual process. For example e-commerce, brokering of work, employment, relations, accomodation, transport, and so forth.
If you are unsure of how much deep tech your idea is based on the criteria of this competition, sign up for BBI’s pre-incubation and we will help you find out!
